I spent too much of the movie trying to figure out what it was trying to do, there were just too many factors that made it difficult for me to let go and have fun with it all. Between the difficult interpetation and the violence (foreseen, but not in all the contexts demonstated), the clash of flavors was just not suited to my tastes and standards. The social commentary was also a miss for me, somehow simultaneously both a little on the nose and way off base, and again, hard to interpret.
