Dave Myers' wife Lili reveals first meal he ever made her

Lorraine Kelly issued a two-word reply after Liliana Orzac made a candid admission about her husband Dave Myers. The wife of the Hairy Bikers star joined the ITV presenter in her first sit-down interview since it was announced earlier this year that the beloved chef had died at 66.

Dave was one half of TV cooking duo The Hairy Bikers and two years ago revealed he had been diagnosed with cancer. The chef, who hailed from Barrow-in-Furness, found fame alongside Si King 20 years ago.

The bearded pair were known for travelling around the UK and the world on their motorbikes, sampling and cooking food from different regions. To mark the celebration of his life Dave's friends and family have arranged a bike ride to his birthplace to pay their respects to the beloved chef.

Addressing viewers, Lorraine began: "Back in February, the world was left very sad to hear that Hairy Biker Dave Myers had died from cancer.

"Well this weekend, Dave's wife Lili is going to be jumping on the back of a motorbike and joining a vast army of fans of the Hairy Bikers as they head to his birthplace to celebrate Dave's day.

"Lili joins me for her first interview since Dave's death."

During their candid chat, Liliana admitted Dave brought joy to many people and hopes people can reflect on a good day being "Dave's Day".

She also opened up about meeting the Hairy Biker for the first time years ago and revealed he would often send her "beautiful messages" over email about his travels overseas.

Lorraine then asked: "Did he make you beautiful dinners?"

Much to the ITV presenter's surprise he didn't according to Liliana, who replied: "The only dinner he ever made for me was a sandwich."

The presenter chuckled before she issued a two-word response: "Love that."

Lili added: "Yes, we always used to laugh about it."

The ITV host went on: "You must miss him so much. You and Simon, he must miss him terribly?" She replied: "Of course, anyone who loses someone misses them but there is a different layer to it because when I turn on the TV he might be on."

Lorraine concluded: "Lili it was great to see you... oh, cancer is so ghastly but what a great way to remember him with Dave Day.

Thousands of people are expected to celebrate Hairy Biker Dave Myers in Barrow. Dave Day will be held on June 8 in tribute to the TV star in his home town.
